Job Duties: Responsible for leading a team of regulatory associates and specialists to assure compliance of Kerry Beverage products with appropriate regulations and to serve as a regulatory resource to internal and external Beverage customers. Responsible for maintaining and assuring data integrity of technical databases related to formulations and finished products.  Drive the Regulatory agenda internally and externally and represent the function in resolving complex cross-functional business issues including structure function, nutrient content, dietary supplement, etc. Translate business goals into functional goals and objectives. Frequently integrate with other functions to develop and drive broader functional/ BU policies and procedures. Identify opportunities and develop agendas for regulatory purposes to enable business growth. Lead Regulatory KPI reporting, trending, and review. Additionally, manage the strategic vision for the Research Development and Applications function through analysis of the regulatory landscape in which Kerry operates. Facilitate the promotion and protection of Kerry IP. Furthermore, represent Kerry in negotiations and discussions with the key industry regulatory decision makers, trade associations, and competent authorities as required. Up to 10% domestic travel for customer visits, facility visits, participation in external training and trade association meetings. Supervises 5 (five) subordinate employees.

 

Requirements: The position of Regulatory Manager requires a Bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, in Food Science, Chemistry or a related field and 5 years of progressively responsible post-Baccalaureate direct Regulatory experience in Food, Beverage or Pharma. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or its foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, in Food Science, Chemistry or a related field and 3 years of progressively responsible, post baccalaureate direct Regulatory experience in Food, Beverage or Pharma.

Additionally, the applicant must have experience with: 1). FDA Food & Dietary Supplement Labeling; 2). Creation of Technical Information such as Ingredient Declarations, Nutritional Analyses, Allergen Evaluations, and Claim Substantiation; 3). System Documentation Management; 4). Technical Scientific Research and Risk Assessment Skills in Regulatory, Quality Assurance and Research & Development; 5). Building a Team of Regulatory Professionals utilizing leadership and mentoring skills; and 6). Communicating Information up and down an organization and working successfully Across Functions.
