Where you'll work

Our Beloit, WI location is home to our Corporate Headquarters for the North American Region. This location has approximately 700 employees at this location that in roles such as regulatory, RD&A, finance, procurement, supply chain and customer care. It is easily commutable from the Rockford, Madison, and Milwaukee areas. You'll enjoy your time inside and outside of the office as we offer a full cafeteria, fitness center, and beautiful walking paths around the campus. What you'll do

Develop and lead strategic regulatory policy development and issues management, internal and external thought leadership strategies, and analysis of the regulatory landscape in which we operate. Represent Kerry on regulatory & legislative rulemaking & influence strategy at trade associations, customer interactions, and with regulatory authorities as needed.  Develops regulatory pathway roadmap based on business priorities:

  • Strategic “affairs” arm of Regulatory – develops regulatory strategy & positions
  • Manage and track legislative and regulatory trends, congressional bills, events
  • Issues management (Kerry strategy for trends & chemical concerns)
  • Internal Regulatory Newsletter & communications strategy; works cross-functionally to review marketing communications
  • Provides succinct and thorough executive briefings for functional Vice President.
  • Develops regulatory visibility strategies (ppts, digital signage, special events)
  • Liaison to Global Regulatory Intelligence Council
  • Liaison to Kerry’s Health & Nutrition Institute

What you'll need to be successful

  • Political Science, Food Science, Nutrition, all preferred or other related science discipline or 15+ years’ experience (education & work combined) as functional advocacy leader for a global food business or related industry.
  • Proven ability to monitor the regulatory landscape, analyze emerging regulations and laws, interpret impact, understand and inform on issues and management trends. Strong background in FDA and USDA interpretations.
  • Ability to convey influence strategies with regulatory authorities and possess the ability to prepare and interpret technical regulatory communications into succinct, executive level newsletters, briefings, or presentations.  Government affairs or legal experience a plus
  • Ability to lead, delegate, and influence cross-functional teams at multi levels within the organization
  • Excellent communication skill, both written and verbal including ability to prepare executive business presentations, communicate strategies, and
    • 25-30% travel required
