About the role

Kerry Taste & Nutrition is actively seeking to add a Regional EUS Engineering Lead to join our Engineering team at Kerry Corporate. Ideally, this role will sit in Beloit, Wisconsin, but the opportunity can be virtual in the US for the right candidate.

 

Our  Regional EUS Engineering Lead will be an empowered regional leader within Integrated Operations, supporting the delivery of the regional sustainability strategy, aligned with the Global Sustainability Program. Reporting to the regional Project Engineering Lead and partnering with the region’s Director of Sustainability to drive reductions in carbon, energy, water, and waste to meet the organization’s 2030 sustainability across better for the planet.  Driving the performance of in-region Sustainability initiative delivery against the Kerry Group targets and ensuring the successful delivery of regional Sustainability initiatives while embedding a sustainable mindset and building capability across the sites.

Key responsibilities

  • Champions and promotes long-term sustainability best practices.
  • Collaborates with regional Engineering teams, Global Sustainability, RD&A and Manufacturing CI Leaders, to assist with the prioritization of Sustainability improvement projects. 
  • Identifies enhancements needed in the engineering design & capability and continuously improves the Sustainability and regional engineering knowledge.
  • Identifies emerging Sustainability trends and development/improvements within the industry and determines appropriate relevancy and application.
  • Leverages organization capabilities of cross-functional internal and external resources to define and monitor performance of Sustainability in region.
  • Manage regional 3rd party Sustainability relationships across the region to ensure effectiveness and value.
  • Partner with HSE in region in the delivery of the Kerry Group Beyond The Horizon Sustainability program, as it relates to Utility efficiencies; Kg of CO2e per tonne of product, water usage M3 per tonne of product and Effluent compliance / discharge quality.
  • Remain fully flexible and open to change to meet business requirements and demands.

Qualifications and skills

  • Degree in engineering (preferred) or environmental sciences
  • 5+ years in project management 
  • 5+ years experience in manufacturing - preferable in the food & beverage industry 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to determine actionable projects that achieve results
  • Demonstrated ability to employee analytical, communication and teamwork skills to influence direction across a complex global organization
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple projects to meet overarching objectives
  • Must be able to travel 30-50% of the time throughout North America.
