About the role

You have an opportunity to work with one of the most exciting teams in Kerry with a leader dedicated to supporting his team both as individuals and within their expertise! You’ll be working with some of the most talented individuals and teams in the industry to deliver outstanding new seasoning technologies and creative taste solutions to some of the world’s largest meat businesses.

Candidates will ideally have experience in the meat industry, but passion for the role, a keen interest in cooking and inspiration for food. You will be working within a close-knit team to develop your career, which is paramount at Kerry.

What will you do?

  • Using customer input, formulate exciting Taste forward solutions for meat products through a dry blend delivery system (rubs, marinades, brines, etc.)
  • Utilize your meat science capability and culinary flair to test your formulations in simple meat applications – our team loves testing it’s own products!
  • Be able to conduct sensory evaluation, using our standardized tools, of various products related to Meat Taste both as an individual and within a team environment.
  • Have an ability to research new market products and technologies associated with your role and turn that into potential business opportunities.
  • A friendly approach with customers that create a win win situation for them and Kerry by applying your knowledge to their ask from concepts, through problem solving and commercialization.
  • Be happy to engage directly with customers and lead capabilities presentations and technical work sessions that create opportunities for both parties.
  • An ability to work individually and within cross functional groups to optimize the strengths of Kerry and deliver the best Taste and Nutrition experience for our customers.
  • A willingness to learn the upscaling process so in time you can assist the production plant in supporting troubleshooting, commercialization, and material challenges.

What will you need to be successful?

  • BS/MS in Food Science/related science field.
  • Ideally at least 2 years food industry experience including but not limited to culinary or restaurant experience. We’d also be interested if you’re a very passionate foodie / home cook. Meat experience is a plus.
  • Strong background and demonstratable success in product development and formulation with a desire to create outstanding products from concept to commercialization.
  • Demonstrated some success and experience in team projects.
  • Ability to drive process improvements, high quality execution, and maintain regulatory compliance and remain within cost parameters.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, upscale trials, factory and site visits,~20%
  • Workable knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint, and ability to learn new systems.

Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $74,000 to $109,000 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc.  In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
