About the role

Our Beloit, WI location is home to our Corporate Headquarters for the North American Region. This location has approximately 700 employees at this location that in roles such as regulatory, RD&A, finance, procurement, supply chain and customer care. It is easily commutable from the Rockford, Madison, and Milwaukee areas. You'll enjoy your time inside and outside of the office as we offer a full cafeteria, fitness center, and beautiful walking paths around the campus. Key responsibilities

The RD&A Associate Scientist Grad will participate on proactive innovation projects and support customer requests both internal and external.  They’ll apply scientific and engineering principles for research and improvement of existing products.  This includes conceptualizing, development, specification and processing of new products. This will be achieved by working in a lab & pilot plant and having an understanding of the customer needs. You will report to the RD&A Manager and be able to participate in brainstorming and ideation! 


Note: Targeting a 2020/ 2021 Grad for a start date of early to mid Sept

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelors in Food Science, Microbiology, Food, Process Engineering, Regulatory, Food Chemistry or equivalent degree. 
  • Ability to support sales and Sr. R&D representatives during customer calls through presentations both technical and culinary based 
  • Ability to study methods to improve quality of foods such as flavor, color, texture, nutritional value, convenience, or physical, chemical, and microbiological composition of foods 
  • Must be able to taste and smell chemicals, flavors and food products
