Key responsibilities
10% Lead and support engineering, systems integration, and process improvements through capital projects and operational efficiency projects within our coatings and seasonings manufacturing sites. 5% Support multiple projects at one or more facilities throughout the organization. 8% Manage process, packaging, and facility capital projects from a technical, financial and manpower perspective. 5% Directly participate in the design, development and creation of scope for engineering projects or the engineering work of the department. 5% Justify, implement and close capital project ranging from $5k-$3MM. 3% Create project estimates and timelines for initial project consideration. 3% Identify and propose equipment and/or processing options to meet objectives within projects. 8% Lead the bid process, budgeting and submission process for capital and operational projects. 5% Direct the installation, commissioning, qualification and verification for regional engineering capital projects. 5% Manage and coordinate the activities of teams and contractors to ensure successful project execution. 5% Create and publish schedules to prioritize the actions of project management. 3% Lead project meetings for design and project reviews. 5% Communicate clearly, both written and verbally, with contractors, plant personnel, peers and management. 4% Prioritize and lead projects with an added value for the plant in line with methodological principles. 6% Ensure all engineering work aligns with corporate engineering standards, including sanitary design, ergonomics, employee safety and food safety requirements. 3% Identify operational improvements and initiates cost savings measures.5% Ensure all safety, quality, and regulatory standards, specifications and policies are met or exceeded. 2% Maintain a consistent and reliable attendance record. 3% Collaborate with Process Tech Team to support best in class manufacturing operations. 5% Provide support and own engineering workflow for value delivery or continuous improvement projects as assigned. 2% Maximize BU's contribution to the organization's sustainability goals through delivery of sustainability projects.
Qualifications and skills
This position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in an Engineering and Technology role or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Employing Auto CAD to develop process layouts, PFD's, ( Process Flow Diagrams) and P&ID's ( Process and Instrumentation Diagrams); (2) Applying Process Engineering tools to analyze mass balance and identify opportunities for process improvements; (3) Utilizing Project Management Tools such as Microsoft Excel and Project to develop and report on adherence to budgets and timelines; and (4) Developing Tools and Templates to work with cross functional teams and develop project charters, user requirements, and complete gap analysis. Up to 70% of domestic and foreign travel is required to support sites within the business unit & evaluate equipment purchased for capital improvements. Telecommuting: Option to Telecommute allowed up to 5 days per week.
Rate of Pay: $ 101,878.00 - $101,878.00 per year. The typical hiring range for this role is $ 101,878.00 - $ 101,878.00 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
