About the role

At the Kerry Center in Beloit, we are a leader in taste and nutrition for the global food, beverage and pharmaceutical industry.  We have approximately 700 employees at this location that perform various task such as finance, procurement, supply chain and customer care.  This location is commutable from major cities such as Milwaukee and Madison. This position is within the Pharma  Business Unit of Kerry-specifically the Cell Nutrition group. The Product Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and managing new and/or existing cell nutrition products by creating and implementing marketing plans, general capabilities slide decks, and providing data related to competitors, the market, and revenue forecasting and pricing strategies.


Additionally, the Product Manager will be a liaison to the commercial sales team acting as a subject matter expert (SME) and assisting in the field with customer visits, tradeshow events, customer business reviews etc. The product manager will be working closely with internal cell nutrition business stakeholders to develop service requirements and specifications, communicate project progress and ensure project delivery on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

Develop and manage product/service strategies and guide business planning for future positioning and growth of Cell Nutrition business.  Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.

  • Perform market research; define market trends, investigate customer needs, customer requirement and product specification.
  • Work across functions to develop business opportunities for revenue growth through internal contacts and development of external company contacts like third party manufacturing .
  • Actively identify and create opportunities within our current and future portfolio, together with sales, R&D and the segment teams
  • Assist in identifying and developing effective promotional and sales tools and collateral marketing pieces. Coordinate marketing communications activities and plans with the Sales, Marketing and other global stakeholders to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Drive the implementation of new technologies and advanced methodologies to remain on the leading-edge to secure cost advantages, expedite prototyping, and/or provide superior product quality.
  • Own the launch process of new products from creating new SKU’s to launching the products following the 4P marketing mix as well as supporting the sales team after launching as product specialist.
Qualifications and skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioprocess Engineering, Biology or other related fields?
  • Minimum of 5 years commercial experience in the healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong technical acumen in cell nutrition and/or bio processing
  • Experience to develop and manage product/service strategies and guide business planning for future positioning and growth of Cell Nutrition business
  • Working knowledge of cGMP regulations.
