About the role

Overview/Accountability:

The role is responsible for the overall Leadership of the Applied Health & Nutrition Fermentation North America manufacturing sites, which includes 8 plants. The role has overall accountability for all aspects of Operations performance including QHSE, customer service, total cost of manufacturing and responsibility for execution of relevant business strategies

Key responsibilities

Role Description:

  • Responsible for directing the operations of the division
  • Accountable for executing the relevant business strategies of the division
  • Ensure QSHE compliance of the division
  • Ensure manufacturing goals and targets are met in line with QSHE targets
  • Responsible for least cost of manufacturing for the plants in the division
  • Responsible for reducing the risk rating of the plants in the division
  • Lead, manage and develop a successful manufacturing team
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members
  • Drive continuous improvement methodology for each plant
  • Responsible for the identification and delivery of KerryExcel projects in line with business expectations.
  • Manage divisional performance through KPIs
  • Responsible for the implementation of relevant policies and strategies across the division
  • Responsible for setting and managing the divisions manufacturing budget
  • Responsible for capacity planning for the division in line with 5 year business demand plans
  • Responsible for talent management and succession planning across the division
  • Responsible for setting capital spend budgets from a strategic point of view for the division
  • Responsible for best in class implementation of capital projects, on time and on budget
  • Responsible for the overall divisional manufacturing footprint
  • Provide support to the global operations lead in the areas of policies, strategy and risk management
  • Provide support to In/Out sourcing decision making

Qualifications and skills

 

Qualifications / Experience:

  • BS/MS in Engineering, Business, Food Science
  • A minimum of 10 years senior operations experience with multi-site responsibility
  • 40-50% travel
