About the role

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Medical Channel Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. The Medical Channel Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving sales growth and expanding our market share in hospitals/IDNs, long-term care facilities and pharmacies (retail and Independent) segment. This role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, OTC/supplement medical sales landscape, demonstrated and strong sales skills (lead generation, cold-calling, active account management and new account growth using a hybrid approach), and strong relationship-building skills.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, fostering key external partnerships with decision makers, key opinion leaders, content matter experts, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) account managers and Distributor Buying Teams, and driving revenue generation in US and Canada. 
 

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to achieve sales targets and revenue goals in medical institutions (hospitals, long-term care facilities, and pharmacies.  

  • Identify and implement promotional opportunities with Distributors and GPO memberships to identify target accounts and drive leads to sales conversion.

  • Identify alternative business strategies/models that will facilitate the step change of the business. 

  • Ensure regular communication, training, and support to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, production, supply chain, logistics, operations and customer service, to align sales strategies, develop marketing materials, address customer needs and to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports, forecasts, and insights to senior management, highlighting key metrics and recommending strategic adjustments as needed.

  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility, generate leads, and stay abreast of industry developments.

  • Stay current with regulatory requirements and compliance standards within the medical industry, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. An advanced degree in healthcare administration or a medical background is a plus. 
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in the medical sales industry in a leadership role or national account management, preferably at a supplement or pharma brand or selling to hospital and long-term care facility channel. 
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth. 
  • In-depth understanding of the healthcare industry, including knowledge of hospital and long-term care facility operations, purchasing processes, and decision-making dynamics. 
  • Strong network of contacts within the healthcare industry, specifically hospitals, nursing homes, and related healthcare organizations. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex medical concepts and solutions to diverse stakeholders. 
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies, meet/exceed sales targets, and drive revenue growth.

The typical hiring range for this role is $120,838.00 to $186,637.00 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education work experience, certifications, location, etc.  In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
