About the role

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Create, revise, and optimize flavors for sweet, beverage and alcoholic markets.

Cross-functional role with multiple product development teams in sweet, dairy and ingredient markets.

Connect with customers on creating flavor solutions for their products.

Mentoring younger flavorists for their formal certifications.

Key responsibilities

SKILLS:

Master understanding of flavor ingredients and botanicals for flavor creation.

Prior experience creating flavors (liquid and powders).

Deep understanding of flavor operations (liquid blending, emulsions and spray drying)

Strong understanding of FEMA GRAS, CFR, USDA and TTB guidelines and restrictions.

Good presentation skills and sensory lexicon.

Qualifications and skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in food technology, Chemistry or a related Applied Science

10+ years’ experience in the Flavor industry

Must be a member of the Society of Flavor Chemist
