Where you'll work

The ideal candidate will work remotely and be required to be in the Beloit or Manitowac office as needed.

Our Beloit, WI location is home to our Corporate Headquarters for the North American Region. This location has approximately 700 employees at this location that in roles such as regulatory, RD&A, finance, procurement, supply chain and customer care. It is easily commutable from the Rockford, Madison, and Milwaukee areas. You'll enjoy your time inside and outside of the office as we offer a full cafeteria, fitness center, and beautiful walking paths around the campus. What you'll do

We will count on you to lead, develop and grow Kerry|RedArrow business in North America. This role will involve direct hands-on business development work with customers in addition to partnering with Kerry sales team members and EUM teams.

The primary responsibilities of this role include the following: 

  • Business Growth: Achievement of near-term budgets and 5 Year growth plan for the Kerry| RedArrow  business. This is measured primarily by achievement of top line revenue and Gross Margin goals.
  • Development of Business Plans & Strategy: Working with the wider Taste & Food Protection teams to develop and execute the business plans and strategies.
  • Strategic Management:  Align, support, leverage and expand Kerry|RedArrow’s industry leading technical sales/service/equipment model in the Meat EUM. 
  • Sales & Commercial: Grow top line sales by developing strong strategic relationships within the customers’ entire organization while fostering counterpart relationships within Kerry (this is a critical success factor). This will be facilitated by: 1) collaborating with Sales Account Mgrs. Embedded in the commercial and EUM  teams.
  • Commercial Support of Sales/ Commercial and EUM Teams
  • Identification of New Opportunity Spaces: A key element of the role will be to identify new growth opportunities for Kerry|RedArrow business domestically and globally as the strategic customers maintain a global footprint.    This will involve developing robust commercial and R&D project pipelines to drive growth with selected customers and target markets. This will include all areas of food/meat, including processed meats, fermented meats, fresh Meat & Poultry, Plant-based meat and alternatives.

What you'll need to be successful

  • University degree in Meat/Food/Nutrition Science, Chemistry/Microbiology/Biology, or related field from an accredited institution. 
  • Market experience desired - the successful candidate will have 5+ years of commercial or technical experience with ingredients sold into the meat category.
  • Technical experience in the meat industry is desired.  
  • Ability to establish trusting and deep-seated relationships with external customers. Most have a proven track record of developing business with external customers.
  • Specific experience with meat manufacturing and ingredients that preserve and protect food is a plus.
  • This role requires regular travel – 60-80%
