About the role

This role is responsible for driving revenue and margin growth by developing customer plans for building new business, maintaining, and supporting current assigned accounts and managing new lead acquisitions through the customer journey process.

The account manager will work collaboratively with cross functional teams and units customer faced and internal to represent the entire Kerry product portfolio for Stocks and Broths. This role will be accountable for maintaining account details within Salesforce, processing requests, analyzing performance metrics, and identifying opportunities for continued growth and department improvements as the business and marketplace evolves.

The role will be responsible for a defined set of accounts that purchase Broths and Stocks across several End Use Markets including Meat, Meals, and Snacks. The candidate will also be responsible for sourcing and converting additional accounts to grow the Kerry Stocks and Broths portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess a strong set of communication, sales and technical skills including a general knowledge of savory flavors and key applications. The candidate should possess strong communication skills that enable them to work with customers procurement, culinary, R&D, technical and business management teams. The candidate must possess strong collaborative character attributes that allow for successful relationship building and influencing within Kerry and externally at the customer level. The candidate should also possess a deep curiosity and a business development skillset that enables them to identify and source new accounts into Kerry.

What would you do?

  • Understand customer base (existing and new potential customers) that purchase broths and stocks – market dynamics, white space, customer growth strategies, underlying challenges and product applications
  • Identify, plan and implement strategies to achieve value creation for Kerry and the customer
  • Undertake detailed account planning for own territory, with strong proof points and overall validation from the customer
  • Leading the customer by leveraging and utilizing cross functional resources and solutions to continually drive the customer experience and business growth needs
  • Annual financial budget and forecasts aligned to organizational performance measures and KPI’s
  • Customer activation and engagement roadmap defined by business growth objectives and return on investment
  • Customer stakeholder management and relationship mapping aligned by function and job level
  • Opportunity pipeline management aligned to the business strategies and key financial metrics (ie GM%, Profitability, Portfolio Mix)
  • Commercial pricing and contract management to protect business risk and deliver sustainable margins 
  • Demand forecasting ownership and updates aligned to continuous improvement metrics
