PMO Overview 

Plan and implement projects (or workstreams within larger projects) in accordance with the Kerry project management methodology, to ensure successful completion as measured by time, cost and quality. The project manager will agree clarity on scope and expected deliverables with a Business Executive or Functional Leadership Team (project sponsor) and report back routinely to this person/team on project progress and status.  Work in the PMO core team and will be supported / coached by the broader PMO team as required. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

What you'll do 

  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, objectives, deliverables and success criteria  

  • Lead the development of project plans to identify project tasks, deliverables, milestones, and resourcing requirements 

  • Develop and/or review estimates and estimating assumptions for the project’s schedule, effort, and cost using established estimating models, best practices, and past experience  

  • In conjunction with the project sponsor - define team member roles and expectations. Ensure that project resources receive any necessary training and are used effectively 

  • Monitor progress against agreed milestones and provide regular updates to all stakeholders. Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks and make adjustments as necessary 

  • Manage risks and issues ensuring that each risk/issue has an owner, clearly defined impact, and mitigating actions (as required) 

  • Ensure appropriate escalation of issues to stakeholders or wider project team 

  • Ensure project control documentation is in place. Review and manage all changes to the requirements through a formally defined scope change process 

  • Build and manage relationships with stakeholders and coordinate work between different teams at different locations  

  • Deliver project outcomes to meet the defined success criteria 

  • Define and drive "rightsized" project management processes for each project, leveraging the Project Management Office Playbook Methodology 

  • Play a proactive role in the promotion and development of project management PMO methods and standards, implementation of good project management practice

Qualifications and Skills 

What you'll need to be successful 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in Business, Engineering, Leadership, Management or equivalent 

  • A ‘foundation’ Project Management or equivalent certification PMP preferred (not required) 

  • Identifiable capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgement, assertiveness 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively to all levels of an organization 

  • Strong presentation skills 

  • Flexible and adaptable with excellent ability to work cross functionally within an organization 

  • Ability to positively challenge 

  • A curious mindset 

  • Minimum 3.25 GPA
