About the role:

 

We expect to grow our business significantly in coming 12 months.  Achievement of our growth objective will be led by you and will be dependent on the establishment of closer partnerships with key customers, providing tailor made & innovative solutions driven by Kerry’s unique Taste and Nutrition platform.

 

The Account Manager is responsible for a portfolio of customer accounts, as the “one face” of Kerry to the customer, and is therefore is responsible for selling all relevant Kerry technologies and products into the designated account portfolio. Creates sustainable profitability for Kerry through developing and executing a strategic plan based on a deep understanding of customer portfolio (i.e. selected target customer group from within Spain).

Key responsibilities in the role:

 

  • Maintain and improve current levels of profitability of products sold currently into that customer.
  • Identify appropriate new or growth opportunities into the customer, managed through salesforce.com reporting process
  • Prospect and “close” new business opportunities through custom product and integrated solution selling to deliver profitable growth
  • Manage a diverse account portfolio
  • Identify a portfolio of quality growth projects
  • Pro-actively defend current Business
  • Develop strong strategic relationships within customers’ organisation including R&D, Marketing and Procurement and foster counterpart relationships within Kerry
  • Implement business pricing decisions. Proactively apply “Insight Sales” methodology with your customers (full training is provided)
  • Comply with all relevant Kerry systems/processes.

Your skills and experience:

 

  • 5 + years’ experience in Sales / Account Management, where your technical capability has actively contributed to winning new business
  • Third level degree 
  • Experience in business development or selling in the Flavour / Ingredients industry 
  • Good working knowledge of food science and how it relates to product development and its commercialization
  • Strong negotiating ability with clients to achieve successful outcomes for Kerry
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is essential for this role
  • Willing to travel up to 60%
