At our Banks Crossing facility we are part of the  Meat division where we create hundreds of different products for Kerry and our retail customers. We have an immediate opening for a 2nd shift Sr. Maintenance Technician. Working Sunday - Thursday from 3pm-11:30pm

What you'll do:

The role of Sr. Maintenance Technician will be to ensure optimal availability of production equipment, while meeting production, safety, budgetary and process improvement requirements.  This position will support operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and optimizing all manufacturing and facilities equipment. Responsible for production and facility equipment installation, modification, and maintenance. Including wiring, troubleshooting, PMs of automated assembly lines, assembly fixtures, and plant equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. We strongly believe in “Safety First, Quality Always” for our employees, products, and customers. Important areas of operations you’ll work on (but are not limited to):

  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery
  • Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic steam, pneumatic equipment
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment
  • Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

High School Diploma or GED required,Bachelors Degree in an applicable field (process engineering, mechanics, etc.) preferred. 

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician, experience working in a manufacturing environment & food/beverage experience is highly preferred
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Possess and demonstrate basic technical knowledge of some or all of the following:
    • Stainless Steel Welding/Fabrication
    • Ability to be or become or is a Sanitary Certified welder. (outside certification)
    • Piping systems
    • Electricity
    • PLC’s (Programmable logic controllers) – a plus
    • Process control instrumentation
    • HVAC systems
    • Process equipment
    • Personal Computing
