About the role

 

Work Location        : Bangna, Thailand
Reporting To          : Sales Director, Animal Nutrition – APMEA
Travel                    : Asia Pacific, Middle East & South Africa (Ireland/US when required)

 

This role is dedicated to being the subject matter expert on all Kerry feed additives, focusing on cost savings at the plant, performance and health on the farm, ROI, and supporting the regional long-term strategy. The product focus includes stock nutrition, enzymes, probiotics, emulsifiers, and preservatives, with a primary emphasis on Layer and Broiler poultry, while also developing swine accounts.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Lead the technical support function, including new product development and launches. Champion technical support programs that drive sales and retention, such as sugar and fiber analysis. Demonstrate the ROI of our feed additives through feed formulation scenarios.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers in the region as a Technical Manager.
  • Establish Kerry as a long-term supplier by building and maintaining strong customer relationships. Leverage direct contacts and industry networking to enhance these relationships.
  • Recommend appropriate resources and actions to address customer issues, ensuring retention and loyalty.
  • Partner with the sales team to develop long-term growth strategies, identifying new product and market opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for institutional research and customer trials to support sales. Provide recommendations on research partnerships, design trial protocols, interpret and communicate results.
  • Contribute to the development of annual research budgets and take necessary actions to achieve targets.
  • Utilize applications like Bestmix (or other popular feed formulation tools) to run scenarios that demonstrate the benefits of our technologies in feed formulations, showcasing cost savings for the end customer.

 

Qualifications and skills

 

•    Graduate PhD in Animal Nutrition are preferred (open to new graduates)
•    Production formulating experience is a bonus, but not required.  
•    A solid understanding of nutritional supplements including NSP Enzymes, Protease Enzymes, or experience with Gut Health Additives such as Probiotics, Postbiotics or similar technologies.
•    Required to have technical exposure/knowledge in livestock nutrition including enzyme and probiotic and feed formulations.
