About the role


Work Location: Flexible - can be based anywhere for now; in the longer term, this role will be based permanently in Bangkok, Thailand 

Reporting To: BD Director, Smoke & Grill – APMEA 

In this newly created role, you will work in an individual contributor role focusing on supporting the APMEA Smoke & Grill team to expand existing sales and develop new business in the South East Asia market, using your technical knowledge of Meat Processing. To be successful in this role, you will have detailed knowledge of meat processing including ground, emulsified, restructured, and injected products, including ingredient functionality, product formulations and the equipment used to make these products.

Key responsibilities


•Conduct product and equipment application trials at customer location
•Evaluate customers current processing procedures, conduct customer presentations and hands-on demonstrations
•Present product concept presentations and assist with equipment installation preventive maintenance
•Write technical reports that summarize the work carried out at customer site to the customer and stakeholders, such as technical trip reports that provide the customer and Kerry Sales team members recommendations for process improvements 
•Identify specific opportunities for follow-up sales opportunities such as smoke, smoke application equipment and other Kerry technology pillars

Qualifications and skills


•Bachelor’s degree in Meat Technology / Food Science or equivalent experience of more than 10 years working in a Meat Processing Plant in one or more areas of processing operations, or having been selling ingredients, casings, or packaging materials into the meat industry
•Working knowledge of Smokehouses: Thermal Processing Schedules, (smoking and cooking) as it relates to different meat products
•Must be fluent in English (read and write); ability to speak any other South East Asian language will be a plus. 
•This role will involve high frequency of travel at about 70-75% of the time. Travel will be primarily by commercial airlines and automobile. Travel will be focused on but not limited to the South East Asia region and US for training and meetings. 
•Willingness to take direction and adopt to new technologies and innovation 
•Ability to be creative to solve problematic situations and willingness to work long hours if required; be a problem solver and generate new business through creative sales approaches.
