About the role

 

Work Location: Flexible across Thailand (OR) Vietnam (OR) Malaysia (OR) Singapore 


Reporting To: Applied Health & Nutrition Lead, APMEA


In this newly created role as Regional Business Development Manager – ProActive Health, you will be responsible for managing and growing our Proactive Health technologies into the regional market across SEA. This will include working directly with leading Food and Beverage and Nutritional Supplements players and with Distributors active in this market as well as with the various support Kerry functions across Sales Teams, Commercial Leadership, Marketing, R&D and Regulatory. 


This is an exciting regional opportunity to develop and expand our clinically backed Functional Ingredients Solutions into the market. The ideal candidate will have strong insights into the Asian functional foods and nutritional supplements category, with excellent industry knowledge, and will bring a developed, strong network of contacts and a recognition with Industry play. 

Key responsibilities

 

•Build a strong opportunity pipeline in the market for our Probiotics, Yeast Beta Glucan, Botanical Extracts and other newly acquired technologies (acquisitions)
•Build awareness in the market of Kerry’s emerging presence in the Functional Ingredients area by being a strong ambassador internally in Kerry and externally in the market- place
•Developing strong customer alliances and promoting functional ingredients via participation in key Industry events (e.g.  tradeshows, seminars and conferences)
•Providing commercial support in developing Kerry`s growth plans into the Food and Beverages and Nutritional Supplements sector in the market
•Identifying emerging trends and developing insights/strategies on how Kerry can grow in this the market

Qualifications and skills

 

•Minimum 10 years of experience working with Functional Ingredients, and with knowledge of the Probiotics and Botanical extracts business at a wider Asian level
•Background qualifications in Life Science / Business or other related disciplines is desired; Master’s degree will be an advantage
•Displays a passion for the Functional Ingredients & Nutritional supplements category and have a keen interest in the topics of nutrition and general wellness
•Ability to work via multiple internal stakeholders in the Kerry matrix structure
•Driven and highly motivated to win new business and identify new customers
•Strong execution skills, while displaying the potential/ability to adopt a strategic approach
•This position will require travel within the region and periodically to attend meetings at Kerry sites (once travel restrictions are removed). There will also be an expectation to have extensive and regular customer visits in the market
