About the role

 

Work Location: Bangkok, Thailand


Reporting To: Senior Business Development Director, APMEA


In this newly created role as Business Development Manager - Food Protection & Preservation (FP&P), you will have responsibility for the development and expansion of Kerry’s Food Protection and Preservation Technology into Meat Applications across the APMEA (Asia-Pacific, Middle East & Africa) region. You will be the Subject Matter Expert on the correct application of the FP&P technologies, advising and assisting the customer through trials to maximize success while also being accountable for the coordination of technical and commercial support for Kerry’s existing Food Protection and Preservation business into meat in APMEA.

Key responsibilities

 

•Collaborating with the Kerry sales teams and local application / R&D, to develop new opportunities and drive business growth for FP&P into meat applications with key identified strategic accounts in the region. Targeting R&D, Marketing and Procurement within the customer as necessary to drive projects
•Effective communication of the technical benefits of Kerry’s Food Protection and Preservation offerings (i) internally within Kerry and (ii) to existing and potential customers with appropriate follow-up on day-to-day customer queries and communication of key action points to relevant personnel
•Accountable for achieving a deep level of understanding of customers objectives and strategies, competitive intelligence, market trends, regulatory changes, consumer insights, and identification of opportunity spaces. Then translate these into actionable business plans that will achieve significant value creation for Kerry and the customer
•Develop value propositions and customer facing presentations for specific customer opportunities
•Educate / train internally to ensure key people and sponsors have the right level knowledge of FP&P to enable them to contribute to business development as part of the team
•Play a key role in the team to develop new FP&P solutions, ensuring we translate intelligence gained with customers into new solutions that address customer’s needs into the future
•Management of sales forecasts and supporting the FP&P business to ensure inventory stocks accurately reflect customer demand

Qualifications and skills

 

•Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, or other related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the Meat industry, supplying or working with functional ingredients into meat applications, preferably Food Protection & Preservation ingredients
•Strong ability to work via multiple internal stakeholders in the complex, Kerry matrix structure
•Driven and highly motivated to win new business and identify new customers
•Entrepreneurial spirit with strong execution skills, displaying the potential / ability to adopt a strategic approach
•Travel allowing, this role will require travel across APMEA to support business development with key customers across the region
