About the role

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will plan, coordinate and monitor the transfer of goods and materials from manufacturers and suppliers all the way through to customers. You may oversee the whole process from beginning to end or you may work in part of the chain. Supply chains are made up of different operations, which include everything from forecasting trends and buying, through to transport and distribution. You might also be involved in brand and marketing planning to make sure what is being promised can be delivered.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage/coordinate demand planning, supply planning, materials planning and customer care activities for the Kerry Lonsdale Site
  • Ensure the development & implementation of efficient, customer focused Supply Chain policies and processes 
  • Drive demand planning/forecast accuracy process improvement
  • Manage inventory to optimum levels to support customer demand and achieve targeted inventory days of supply
  • Ensure efficient capacity planning and production scheduling that will meet customer demand at least cost
  • Monitor and ensure supply planning and materials planning activities are conducted in a timely manner 
  • Analyse reports, data and performance of supply chain and ensure continuous improvement initiatives are in place
  • Communicate and cooperate with suppliers for all matters related to supply chain (supply demand, schedule shipment, importation etc)
  • Manage and coordinate Supply Chain projects to successful outcomes

Qualifications and skills

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Supply Chain or Business/Commerce
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Supply Chain role with at least 5 years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in Food & Beverage, Food Service or Ingredients / Flavour industries
  • Proven strong track record in implementing and managing an S&OP process
  • Demonstrated strong exposure to SAP or related ERP applications
  • Track record of being able to identify and drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives to develop a customer focussed, best practice division
  • Ability to multitask in a fast pace and changing environment
