About the role

The primary focus is to ensure the demand planning process is being followed according to the Kerry Ways of working and provide advice on forecasting strategies and selections. The demand planner will also support commercial teams from an information and reporting point of view. Also requires to interacts cross-functionally to ensure consensus to the aggregate Demand plan.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee demand planning and processes for new and existing products.
  • Develop and execute product demand plans to meet organization goals.
  • Develop demand forecasts based on demand patterns and business trends
  • Partner with the commercial and supply chain teams to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Maintain demand plan to ensure cost effectiveness and to meet customer demands
  • Support the Commercial and Supply Chain team members’ understanding of Demand Planning and CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment) theory and processes.
  • Facilitator to the monthly Demand Review for our S&OP process
  • Address demand related queries and issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain demand planning processes and systems to improve forecasting accuracy
  • Provide training to the Supply Chain Team on demand planning best practices, use of stock and forecasting  accuracy / error measures to improve forecasting effectiveness
  • Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans

Qualifications and skills

  • Solid understanding of basic supply chain theory coupled with demand planning experience
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain / planning roles, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in demand planning.
  • Must have a good understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations.
  • Intermediate to Advanced ERP knowledge, SAP preferable and Excel.
  • Strong business understanding and insight
