About the role

Key responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 Stages and delivers materials to production lines, wraps finished product and positions them in the correct storage temperature in the warehouse.

Utilizes our inventory system to ensure all movements are captured, keeping inventory accuracy and control.

Organizes materials in warehouse according to vertical allergen stacking and rotates all stock to ensure first in, first out material movement and usage.

Responsible for the condition of the raw materials and finished product by ensuring both remain undamaged, clean, free of contaminants, and stored at correct temperature.

Executes Master Sanitation Schedule to maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices.

Assists in all areas of warehouse including shipping and receiving, warehouse, and materials projects.

Unloads/Loads trucks for all inbound and outbound trucks, ensures all food safety and quality is met for each product being loaded/unloaded.   

Organizes and maintains all inventory and ensures product is put away in the correct location.

Assists with cycle counting of inventory, in compliance with the cycle count program.

Actively involved with the tempering and rework schedule.

Ensures all safety rules are adhered too; communicating issues or concerns that cannot be resolved by crew or supervisors.

Performs all other related duties as required.

Qualifications and skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Appropriate English language ability in order to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, bills of lading and other related shipping documents.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:  OSHA Forklift Certifications- Class I, Class II, and Class III.
