About the role


The Supply Planner will be responsible for the planning and management of inventory levels in a way that is effective in meeting customer service levels whilst taking into account overall supply chain efficiencies and working capital targets. Be required to work with internal & external stakeholders to ensure timely availability of inventory for manufactured and imported/locally traded finished goods to meet customer demand nationally and to support the Supply Planning Manager in monitoring performance of the relevant key performance indicators and developing action plans with key parties to ensure performance targets are met.

Work Location : Lonsdale - Adelaide 

Key responsibilities


  • Inventory and/or Capacity Planning across the medium/long term planning horizon to meet customer demand (this can include Production Scheduling activities for some) at least operating & inventory cost.
  • Creating and managing Stock Transfer Orders for Imported Goods to meet customer demand
  • Active participation in SOP process, via the Monthly Supply Review Meeting & supporting processes
  • Ensure system tools are fully utilised to allow optimization of capacity planning & supply/inventory planning activities
  • In conjunction with Supply Chain Manager conduct ongoing analysis of inventory and replenishment parameters to ensure improved working capital performance;
  • Coordinate re-balancing of inventory where required
  • Identification and reduction of SLOB stock
  • Data Analysis and Reporting by establishing and/or maintenance of reporting mechanisms which provide analysis of:
  • Inventory coverage, value, turns
  • Obsolete/slow moving
  • Stock write off vs provisions
  • Performance to Production Plan
  • Provide input into key measures as required i.e. reasons for OTIF failures etc
  • SAP Planning Super User/Expert for the Kerry Site

Qualifications and skills


  • Solid understanding of basic supply chain theory coupled with hands on inventory / materials planning experience
  • Strong Analytical and Data management Experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced ERP knowledge, SAP experience is essential
  • Must have a strong business understanding and insight
