About the Role:

 

The quality technician will be required to support the quality team in implementing the quality and food safety policies and procedures. The quality technician works closely with production to ensure raw materials and finished goods meet customer and regulatory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support environmental monitoring program
  • Support site hygiene and sanitation program
  • Support improvement initiatives
  • Support GMP audits
  • Support site HACCP and other risk assessment systems as required
  • Ensuring site Quality Systems are reviewed, updated and maintained to comply with Kerry Global Quality Management system requirements quality/ food safety requirements and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) requirements.
  • Document control support by generating and maintaining quality and department procedures to enable structured training and adherence to relevant standards
  • Intelex and SAP Quality Support
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required.
  • Assist in complaint and internal non-conformance investigations and close-out

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Degree in Food Science/Technology or related discipline
  • At least 3 years of prior relevant experience in the food, dairy or pharmaceutical industry
  • Must have working knowledge of HACCP, quality and food safety
  • Understanding of quality and food safety standards eg. BRC, ISO 22000, FSSC, GMP
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a factory environment
  • SAP knowledge is highly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and windows-based computer skills required
