About the role

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the laboratory technician will be primarily responsible for the testing and release of Raw Materials and Finished Goods.

 

Work location : Australia, Lonsdale.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine QA tasks as outlined in the associated procedures and work instructions:
• Finished product and raw material testing.
• Input QA data into SAP system  as  part of positive release.
• CCP verification checks.
• Isolation of non-conforming stock as required.
• Maintains records of RM and FG test results.
• Maintains retention samples and batch documentation storage.
• Ensure that Laboratory equipment and area cleanliness are maintained.
• Daily calibration of equipment before testing.
• Manage laboratory consumables stock (eg. Sample cups, spoons, test strips, etc.)
• Raise a Non-conformance for out-of-spec product or raw material.
• Attend and participate in regular quality and site meetings.
• Support with process quality and quality system duties as directed.
• Perform other relevant duties as directed.

Qualifications and skills

• Diploma or Degree level Food Science Qualification or relevant laboratory and/or Industry experience.
• Appropriate experience in food laboratories.
• Windows-based computer systems.
• SAP experience.
