About the role

Based out of Kerry's Brisbane site, located at Murarrie, the Demand Planner will be will be responsible for the timely assessment and update of forecasts in the Kerry SAP forecasting system, and for providing ongoing maintenance of forecast parameters in APO (Advanced Planning Optimizer.) for the Australian-wide business.

This role implements policies in line with the business strategies, reports the performance of the relevant key performance indicators and develops strategies with key stakeholders to assist in achieving performance targets.
 

Key responsibilities
  • Oversee demand planning and processes for new and existing products
  • Develop and execute product demand plans to meet organization goals
  • Develop demand forecasts based on demand patterns and business trends
  • Partner with the commercial and supply chain teams to improve forecast accuracy
  • Maintain demand plan to ensure cost effectiveness and to meet customer demands
  • Support the Sales team members’ and Supply Chain team members’ understanding of Demand Planning and CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment) theory & process.
  • Facilitator to the monthly Demand Review for our S&OP process
  • Address demand related queries and issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain demand planning processes and systems to improve forecasting accuracy
  • Provide training to the Supply Chain Team on demand planning best practices, use of stock and forecasting accuracy / error measures to improve forecasting effectiveness
  • Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans.
Qualifications and skills
  • Solid understanding of basic supply chain theory coupled with demand planning experience
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain / planning roles, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in demand planning. Must have a good understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations. 
  • Intermediate to Advanced ERP knowledge (SAP preferable) and Excel essential
  • Strong business understanding and insight
  • Strong analytical, planning, influencing & negotiation skills
  • A good communicator who can build strong relationships and is able to challenge the process to strive for continuous improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that exemplify professionalism in both internal and external environments and enables effective ways of working with people from different functions and levels
  • Motivated with a drive to succeed in a demanding and challenging working environment
  • Excellent problem solver with the ability to tackle complex issues and work to tight deadlines to achieve desired outcomes
