Where will you work?

Our Seattle, WA location is part of our Liquid Beverage division and creates syrups and sweet sauce variations for Kerry customers and brands. You’ll be working in a state-of-the-art facility with a team that’s committed to helping each other succeed in their roles though structured training with committed and engaged leadership. What will you do?

  • Plan-Promote a Zero Injury Safety Culture: Provide leadership and coaching to create a workplace free of recognized hazards, promote safe work behaviors, and foster a lean safety culture.
  • Compliance reporting for all environmental, health and safety activities as per Federal (OSHA and EPA), State, and local EHS requirements.
  • EHS record keeping and documentation control.
  • Establish goals, objectives, metrics and scorecards to assure the EHS function is effective.
  • Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs for managers, supervisors and employees to ensure a common and effective approach.
  • Develop and communicate strategies to achieve EHS goals.
  • Developing and implementing a plan to correct or prevent a loss and audit the plan to ensure effectiveness.
  • Proactively perform EHS audits and implement audit recommendations.
  • Ensure timely investigation of environmental, health and safety incidents, root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Work with management to manage employee’s workers compensation claims and work assignments.
  • Development of pollution and waste control programs.
  • Evaluate safety of new processes and equipment.
  • Evaluate hazards for safety, health, and environmental risks and ensure the development of Job Hazard Analyses for defined tasks.
  • Develop and deploy EHS programs and training to meet regulatory requirements and operational needs.
  • Ensure that contractor personnel working on the property are in compliance with local policies and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate the identification of capital funding needs for EHS projects.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

What will you need to be successful?

  • B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years of safety management experience having worked in a food / beverage production or manufacturing setting.
  • Forklift Training and OSHA 10 & 30 are a nice to have.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $89,175 to $134,984 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
