Niagara Falls, NY location produces organic salts, including propionates and acetates, serving Pharmaceutical, Food, Feed and Technical Industries.  With this long-standing and fully automated manufacturing site, Kerry offers world class quality products to a global market.  Our products fill vital needs in a broad range of applications that are essential to everyday life including food preservation, antibiotic formulation, dialysis treatment, energy production and more.

Pay:  $22.36

Day shift/ some weekends required/some holidays required.

Key responsibilities

  1. Develop method for analysis of trace metals in anhydrous HCl by ICP-MS
  2. Daily operation and maintenance of ICP-MS system including analyzing samples and performing quality assurance tasks
  3. Perform calibrations and quality assurance tasks for gas chromatography systems used for trace gas impurities in anhydrous HCl
  4. Maintain record logs of all quality assurance tasks for all anhydrous HCl analytical equipment
  5. Assist with QA lab work as assigned:
  6. Analysis of raw materials, intermediates and finished products
  7. Analysis record keeping
  8. Certificate of analysis generation
  9. Special testing as requested
  10. Maintaining lab supplies
  11. Maintenance and calibration of lab instruments
  12. Preparation and standardization of lab solutions
  13. Maintain test methods
  14. Inspection of raw materials Certificates of analysis

Qualifications and skills

There are a few requirements you will need to be safe and successful in this job.

  

Education:  A.A.S. science degree, or equivalent

Required Knowledge: Basic understanding of chemistry and analytical methods

Experience Needed: Prior laboratory experience

Skills and Abilities: Analytical, decisive, multi-tasked, and goal-oriented individual is required with the ability to manage time and resources
