About the role

Maintenance technician will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical maintenance of the plant, usually required to complete repairs on the equipment`s and perform a wide range of facility preventive maintenance.

Location: Uganda

Reporting to: Engineering Lead

Key responsibilities

Performing maintenance, installations, repair and troubleshooting work involving electrical and mechanical system
Maintaining and repairing processing plant equipment’s ie production line, Pumps, valves, electrical devices, water plant, chillers, Generators, Boilers, air compressor
Keeping production machineries and utility in safe working order
Training and assisting machine operators
Inspecting building for any issues, diagnose electrical faults, repair or replacing defective parts
Conduct preventive maintenance as per schedule, respond to breakdowns and maintain the records
Observing machinery to detect malfunctioning and report for any improvement required
Interpretation of schematic diagram, layout and take part in engineering projects
Perform daily maintenance task, report on status of machine breakdown, deliver on departmental projects

Qualifications and skills

Diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering.
Knowledgeable in industrial mechanic skill, interpreting blueprints, diagram, and drawing. Hardworking, strong, and physically agile profession who excel at repairing large, complex manufacturing and production system to maintain efficiency operation.
