About the role

Kerry needs an experienced projects engineer that can coordinate capital investments and manage the local projects, maintenance work and utilities on site.

 

Work location: Tuzla ( Istanbul)
Reporting to: Engineering & Projects Manager 
 

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the regional engineering manager and the site manager all areas of Repairs and Maintenance under optimum use of personnel and means available.
  • Coordinate Projects and Capex Planning for the site – short and long-term
  • Compliance plant and assets with local regulation and norms as well as internal guidelines and best practices
  • Maintain contact to authorities.
  • Maintenance planning and execution.
  • Resolve equipment breakdown and eliminate the down time.
     

Activities

  • Project Engineering Activities on Capital Projects within Turkey:
  • Development of technical specifications.
  • Preparation of Engineering RFP/RFQ documentation for issuing to vendors
  • Design works, preparation of technical designs, calculations and material recommendations for equipment and systems.  Considering QHSE requirements and sustainability.
  • Review of Engineer specifications issued by Vendors and evaluation of their quotations.
  • Management of Equipment installation, commissioning through to handover
  • Using the Kerry Project Engineering Playbook to co-ordinate and undertake assigned tasks and activities.
  • Responsible for the overall day to day management of the assigned project elements or leading assigned package of works and supporting the Regional Engineering Team in the attainment of the project deliverables in accordance with the project scope, benefits and objectives.
  • Responsible for co-ordination, scheduling and reporting of activities related to assigned elements within the Project, and project communications as agreed with the Project Manager.  Including monitoring, controlling, and reporting on project progress on a regular basis and when exceptional circumstances arise
  • Responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the project are managed in accordance with the contracts issued and that proper contract management is employed on the project
  • Responsible for ensuring that all stages of assigned works are completed from design, installation, commissioning through to handover to final customer.
     

Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO)

  • Coordinate all the services to achieve maximum plant reliability and availability at best cost
  • Drafts, controls, and manages budget for the cost centers in area of responsibility
  • Visual Management, 5S, PDCA, Engineering KPI’s
     

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial)
  • Minimum 2- 3 year's Engineering experience in a multinational environment
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience in factory engineering and maintenance planning
  • Experience in production equipment and its maintenance
  • Experience in utilities and building service, operation and maintenance.
  • Worked in the Food, Food Ingredients or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Familiar with project management tools
  • Exposure to TPM, 5S, Lean programs is an advantage.
  • Experience to work with common budget and capex controlling tools
  • Computer know how on MS Office Tools (Excel, Word, Project)
  • Fluent in English and local language
