Inventory Planner

About the role

We are looking for an inventory planner to work at our Irapuato or San Juan del Rio plant. The position is temporary for 4 months because it is to cover a maternity leave.

Key responsibilities

  • Generate dashboards and scorecards to track the inventory in each facility of the network.
  • Partner with MCO to present supply proposals for procurement team.
  • Maintain SAR, Aged & WO inside targets. •    Accelerate the decision-making progress to avoid obsolescence for slow movers and low freshness products.
  • Highly influence with SNPs and MCOs to determinate policy adjustments.
  • Assure communication and visibility of the risks 
  • Ensure Cash Targets to have the optimal inventory. 
  • Ensure the proper shelf life are available. 
  • Operational Service Delivery: Responsible for managing relevant external & internal requests; Reporting requirements, system maintenance with timely processing, & accuracy. Anticipate, identifies and proactively resolve issues by clarifying requirements, determining solutions to provide proactive resolution to achieve service excellence and adhere to operating procedures with subcontractors.
  • Performance Management:  Identify and highlight operational issues and utilize knowledge and skills to offer solutions and recommend potential enhancements to our service to make it easier and more valuable for our customers to do business with Kerry. 
  • Communication Management: Provides professional, timely, reliable and consistent updates and information sharing with internal stakeholders and team members. Navigates internally to ensure timely proactive resolution of issues, queries and complaints providing a seamless experience. Proactively communicates and de-escalates related issues and identifies solutions and keeps relevant internal contacts in region informed.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of systems, processes, operating procedures and business requirements. Demonstrating knowledge and expertise of operational activity to support successful outcomes and a positive experience for internal customers.
  • Deliver Service Excellence: coordinate relevant operational activities partnering with the wider Supply and teams and relevant functions to support smooth supply and best customer outcomes. 
  • Subcontracting Complaint Management: Support the overall complaint management partnering with Kerry Team and Subcontractor Vendor, provide data and reporting requirements in line with agreed operating procedures ensuring timely resolution & responsiveness.
  • Reporting: Process all relevant reports within agreed timelines and in collaboration with internal and external teams
  • Teamwork: providing insights and support to your wider Supply Chain and Customer Care teams in region to ensure high performance, excellent customer experience.
  • Ad hoc projects / assignments / initiatives - Based on business requirements, remains fully flexible to meet changing business requirements and demands, participation in ad-hoc assignments, continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Enable & support cross enterprise forums, programs & initiatives – functional SME with responsibility for key activities to support delivery of various programs, demonstrate engagement and collaboration with key stakeholders. 

Qualifications and skills

  •  Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years in Supply Planning, Material Call Off, Production Scheduling or Customer Care.
  •     Role Specific     
  • Experience in Supply Chain areas such as Planning, Material Call off or Production Scheduling, desirable if experience is in food, beverage, or pharma sector.
  • Excellent PC application skills -MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP & APO
  • Ability to identify and drive continuous improvement and indirect leadership skills to deliver best operational output, best practices function.
  • Strong relationship and escalation management and demonstrated influencing skills.
  • Attention to detail, highly analytic and numerical.
  • Business Intelligence.
