General Operator

About the role

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a General Operator in our Kerry Team in Farranfore, Co. Kerry.

 

It is a full-time, permanent position. Working hours are rotating 08:00 to 16:00 and 16:00 to 00:00, Monday to Friday. There will be also overtime on some Saturdays.

 

In our Kerry Farranfore site, we are producing varieties of animal feeds.

 

Full training for this role will be provided.

What will you be doing?

 

Responsibilities of General Operator will include:

 

  • Operating machinery for packing finished products to 25kg bags.
  • Using forklift and other tools to move materials and products to designated places and loading and unloading deliveries. Organising pallets.
  • Assisting with production line changes and record production data.
  • Keeping plant well-organised and tidy. Sorting waste materials like spillage, packing waste, scrap metal etc. to correct containers on the site.
  • Raising any issues on the production line to the Line Manager.
  • Taking care of your and your colleagues’ safety and following Health and Safety procedures.
  • There will be some manual handling required.

 

 

What do you need to be successful?

 

To be successful in this role you need to be willing to learn, be able to adhere to procedures on the site, work well with a team and be able to work on specified shift pattern. Any previous experience in manufacturing environment will be beneficial, but full training will be provided for this role.
