About the role

 

Kerry is looking for a Senior Account Manager Bakery – Fine Bakery to support on Key Accounts in the BENELUX and DACH regions.

 

Working as Senior Account Manager at Kerry will push you to lead execution and in-market activation from day one. This is a very entrepreneurial environment, so you need to like working at a fast pace.

This position is perfect for someone who’s a strategic thinker, can cope with a fast changing environment, and has a passion for customer intimacy.

 

The Senior Account Manager for this role will focus on bakery and fine bakery accounts as well as on bakery ingredient formulators (BIF’s). You will deliver account specific growth plans, budget development, forecasting, trade marketing in conjunction with Brand team and liaison with EUM and financial teams responsible for budget delivery.

This will be achieved through a combination of selling the Kerry product portfolio and providing bespoke or own label product development where appropriate.

 

Travelling around 60% is expected for this role and the rest you will work from your home office with a preference to be based within the DACH or BENELUX region, alongside being a native Dutch or German communicator with English.

What will I be doing?

  • Development of the customer portfolio in the BENELUX and DACH region (but not limited too) and drive sustainable and profitable growth
  • Promote and sell the Kerry Technologies in line with Kerry’s defined strategy.
  • Develop account plans for the selected customers with strong proof points and overall validation from the customer.
  • Establish and nurture effective customer relationships at the various level of the organisation.
  • Accountable for the understanding of the customer’s objectives and growth strategies and translate them into the surrounding organisation.
  • Leading the customer by leveraging and utilizing cross functional resources and solutions to continually drive the customer experience and business growth needs
  • Customer activation and engagement roadmap defined by business growth objectives and return on investment
  • Customer stakeholder management and relationship mapping aligned by function and job level
  • Development, maintenance and conversion of opportunity pipeline in line with Kerry strategic goals
  • Identifies relevant insights/needs required to achieve value creation for Kerry and the customer
  • Customer data management within Kerry internal systems (e.g SFDC)
  • Forecasting ownership and updates aligned to continuous improvement metrics
  • Annual financial budget and forecasts aligned to organizational performance measures and KPI’s
  • Opportunity pipeline management aligned to the business strategies and key financial metrics (ie GM%, Profitability, Portfolio Mix)
  • Commercial pricing and contract management to protect business risk and deliver sustainable margins

What do I need to be successful?

These include:

  • Experience in bakery & Fine bakery or supply into industrial bakeries, Bread Ingredient Formulators. Experience by Fine bakery Pan European accounts is a big plus.
  • Deep understanding of the bakery and especially fine bakery market.
  • Technical background and/or Production experience is a strong added value.
  • Customer Focus- Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions
  • Strategic Mind set - Seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough customer solutions
  • Ensures Accountability - Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments
  • Drives Results - Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances
  • Team Player contributing to the functioning and continuous upgrade of the team
  • Able to convince internal stakeholders and build and steer a project team which delivers solutions covering the customers needs.
  • Native Dutch or German speaking. English is a must, French a strong added value.
  • Ambition and skill set to grow to a commercial leader of a sales team.
