About the role

The Strategic Marketing Manager for Kerry’s non-Food EUM (end-use-market) global businesses focuses primarily on the Pet Nutrition and Animal Performance Solutions markets, with a secondary focus on Personal Care, Agri-Tech, Cleaning and Industrial/Specialty Chemical. The role’s primary purpose is to craft and implement our global non-food strategy through the synthesis of market insights and matching growth opportunities with Kerry’s potential capabilities.

The Manager will also have the responsibility for developing and delivering our global marketing activities across the non-food channels, clearly communicating our value proposition to customers and the external industry. Alongside cross-functional teams (sales, regulatory, RD&A and external consultants) and product marketing, the Strategic Marketing Manager will translate the non-food EUM strategy into go-to-market plans, external marketing campaigns, sales enablement content, customer engagements and industry events.

Key responsibilities

•  Support market-mapping exercises alongside business development to advance competitive learnings and articulate market share aspirations.

•  Develop the non-food EUM marketing plan (primarily focused on pet and animal nutrition), containing clear strategies and tactics that will drive our business forward. Responsible for the successful delivery of the marketing plan, with measurable outcomes.

•  Partner with the non-Food EUM leadership team to drive business results and growth in line with the end-use-market strategy; monitor the performance of the EUM strategies to validate and iterate as appropriate.

•  Lead the EUM in a deep, clear understanding of the competitive landscape to aid in go-to-market plans

•  Identify potential new routes-to-market and or commercial structures to achieve desired business growth.

•  Develop and deliver effective insight driven creative marketing campaigns and collateral based on clear value propositions for Kerry technologies in the pet nutrition market.

•  Develop and implement new product launch campaigns.

•  Create best-in-class customer engagements for current & prospective customers, both virtually and in-person at Kerry-owned locations or at customer office sites.

•  Manage content, presence and interaction at key conferences, trade shows and scientific events.

•  Contribute to strategic business analysis projects to support market assessments and new business opportunity identification.

•  Partner with our digital marketing team, to ensure our pet and animal nutrition businesses are communicated on our digital platforms and that they are working optimally for our business.

•  Collaborate on M&A strategic with market assessment, business rationale and integration planning

•  Support regular reporting of activities with impact for senior management team and key stakeholders.

Qualifications and skills

Minimum BS in Business / Marketing / Food Science with 5+ years of relevant and progressive experience. Master’s degree in relevant field of study preferred.

•  B2B marketing experience preferred in a global organization. Open to candidates with strong technical backgrounds but willingness to learn marketing skills & capabilities.

•  Ability to navigate ambiguity.

•  Willingness to jump in and learn.

•  Experience working in a matrix organization strongly preferred.

•  Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

•  Dynamic presentation skills. The ability to communicate strategy in simple language required.

•  Ability to manage multiple concurrent project streams, with a track record of getting things done at a high level of quality.

•  Strong entrepreneurial mindset. Ability to effectively navigate in ambiguity.

•  Excellent team and leadership skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally at all levels of the organization, engaging with internal teammates towards company goals.

•  Travel could comprise up to 20% of this role
